Board of Directors Job Descriptions (Continued):


Front-of-House Director - Supervise the sale of all tickets and the seating of audiences including; reservations, group sales, and the seating of members. He/she will shall coordinate and arrange for purchase of refreshments. He/she will arrange staffing and will supervise the work of reservation takers, box office personnel, ushers, and hospitality personnel. The Front-of-House Director shall report to both the Board of Directors and to a show's producer(s) on ticket figures for each show. He/she will also accept and consider requests for complimentary tickets from recognized groups and will grant such requests according to the policy of the Board of Directors.


Membership Director - Manage the development and delivery of membership benefits and, working in conjunction with the Volunteer Director, will attempt to maximize the involvement of members in the activities of the theater. He/She shall issue all ticket vouchers to the members for membership productions.


Productions Director - Manage the artistic programs of the theater including; play reading, educational programs, artistic personnel recruitment and evaluation and all those events and activities which may be called artistic. The Productions Director shall act as a liaison between the Board of Directors and the Producers and Directors of all shows.


Promotion Director - Responsible for the publicity of the productions of The Footlight Club, in addition to the promotion of the club, as a whole, and Eliot Hall. He/she will coordinate advertising and publicity efforts with producers and managers of the different activities of the club and will attempt to maximize the size of the club's audience and the participation of the community in each of the club's activities.


Technical Director - Responsible for the management and maintenance of all equipment and materials related to the production of a show including; lights, properties, costumes, make-up, sets, permanent stage structures and temporary technical equipment. He/she will see to the safe and responsible use of such assets and, in conjunction with producers, will see to the staffing of a show with people competent in these areas.


Volunteers Director - Act as personnel director for the corporation, organizing and supervising a systematic method of recruiting, identifying and contacting members and others for volunteer help for the Club's activities.


Facility Director - Responsible for the maintenance and use of Eliot Hall. He/she will schedule the use of the building and see that it is prepared for each use. He/she will coordinate rentals, see to cleaning, repair and auditorium set up for each use. He/she shall act as liaison between the Board of Directors and the Trustees of Eliot Hall in regard to the use or alteration of the building.
