Is The Footlight Club a non-profit organization?

Yes. All profit earn from productions are put into maintaining Eliot Hall and producing the next show.

When I make a reservation am I assigned seats?

Yes. When you make a reservation on-line or by phone, the box office director or volunteer will assign your party seats according to the space available at the time of your request. Seats are assigned on a first come basis starting at the front of the house (front row) and working toward the back. The earlier you make your reservation the more likely your request will be met. Seats are generally plotted onto our seating chart a 7-10 days prior to opening night.

Can I exchange an unused, pre-purchased ticket for another show?

Yes. Please submit your request in writing (via email or snail mail) or in person 48 hours prior to the performance you wish to attend. Exchanges are allowed on the same production only (i.e. purchased tickets for "Big" must be exchanged for "Big").

Will I receive my purchased tickets in the mail?

The FLC Box Office does not mail out tickets. All tickets will be held at the Box Office under the name indicated on the reservation. The Box Office does not mail out tickets to prevent them from being lost or stolen. Also, the Box Office reserves the right to alter the seating arrangement at any time to accommodate our patrons with special needs. Mailing tickets would prevent that ability

When or how do I pick up my tickets?

Reserved tickets should be picked up no later than 15 minutes prior to curtain to avoid having your originally assigned seats sold. All prepaid tickets are held in will call at the box office and can be picked up an hour before curtain or until curtain without the risk of losing your seats. Sorry, we don’t mail out tickets in advance.

What is the best night for good seats?

Opening weekend tend to be our smaller houses, which translates into better seating options. These are the best nights to attend for that intimate theatre experience.

Why doesn’t anyone answer the phone when I call?

The Footlight Club is a membership owned organization that depends solely on its’ members and volunteers to run the business on and off stage. Most Footlight Club business takes place in the evening and the weekends. Please be patient with us, we will get back to you.

Why don’t I receive a call to confirm my reservation?

You will not receive a call to confirm your reservation. You can assume your reservation is complete upon submitting your on-line form or leaving a message on the FLC voicemail. You will receive a call if your reservation request cannot be met for any reason.

When should I anticipate a call for my credit card information?

The box office "staff" is basically one to two people, whom have full-time jobs outside of the Club. Please be patient when awaiting a return call for any reason as the box office "staff" may also be directly involved with the current production and have less time during a reasonable hour to return your call. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

I asked for a specific seat. Why didn’t I get the seats I asked for?

If your request is made on or near the date of the performance you wish to attend it is difficult to accommodate your request. To avoid this please make your reservations early for the best possible seating.

Where are the best seats?

Most audience members prefer to be in the center section within three to ten rows from the stage. The Footlight Club has raked seating. This means that from the sixth row (F-O) back each row is raised two inches higher than the row before, to give you the best possible sight lines.
