7A Series: Verona Falls by Nadel Henville

Verona Falls by Nadel Henville

About the Play:  Verona Falls is a reimagining of William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. With a merge of archaic syntax and modern language, this piece explores an alternate timeline of our star-crossed lovers–one that no one has seen before. It follows Juliet & Paris, unhappily married, and during the 10th anniversary of Mercutio’s death, Romeo’s banishment, and the fall of the house of Montague. Invited by King Escalus to what seems like a regular dinner, they find out that to bring in a new era of “peace”, Romeo is to be brought back into Verona and his great house restored. And he’s coming back to truly claim what was his.
